We never claim a test we did not run
This is the big one. Our publishing system will not build the site if a review claims a product was tested without naming a tester and how long they used it. It is a hard stop, not a guideline.
Every product has a real drawback
"Not for everyone" and "could be cheaper" are not drawbacks. Every review names one thing that could genuinely change your mind, and every review says who should buy something else instead.
Every product wins a specific job
We do not rank one to ten. A ranked list implies one right answer, and there is no single right cold plunge for a 5 foot 2 person on a balcony and a 6 foot 4 athlete with a garage.
Same fields for every product
Comparison tables are generated from structured data, not typed by hand. If one product cannot fill a column, that column comes out for everyone rather than showing a blank. You are always comparing like with like.
No invented numbers
We do not publish star ratings we did not collect, review counts we did not count, or prices we cannot verify. Our structured data only describes things you can see on the page.
We say when we are unsure
Every review carries a box listing what we could not confirm. If a brand claims a temperature and no owner confirms it, we say the claim is the brand's, not ours.
Dates are real
The updated date on a page changes when the content changes, not on a schedule to look fresh. If a page has not been touched in a year, it says so.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix it and say what changed. We do not quietly edit and reset the date.
